Kevin Durant's Career-High 52 Points vs. Mavericks

Kevin Durant scored a career high
of  52 points against the
Dallas Mavericks during
Friday's game.

KD does it again! He never seems to surprise us but if you missed this game, you missed out on one of the best regular-season games in recent NBA history.

Kevin Durant set a new career high by scoring 52 points in the 117-114 win in overtime against the Dallas Mavericks that extended their winning streak to six games and ended the Mavericks season-best run of four straight on Friday, January 18.

Durant is the only player to score 50+ points this season. He first awed us with downing all 21 of his free throws. Yes, you read right, he didn't miss any!

Durant almost set another record tweeted by ESPN Stats & Info, that the "only player to make more FT without a miss than Durant's 21 on Friday was Dominque Wilkins 23-23 in a game in 1992".

However Kevin Durant didnt lead the team to victory by himself. Point-guard, Russell Westbrook scored 31 points in a co-starring role for OKC.

The Oklahoma City Thunder (32-8), are first in Northwest Division. Kevin Durant leads them in scoring with a average of 29.3 ppg, Serge Ibaka in rebounds 8.4, blocks 2.8 per game and Russell Westbrook in assist 8.3 and steals averaging 2.0 per game.

Tonight Kevin Durant and the Thunder will take on the Denver Nuggets and hope to extend their winning streak to seven games.
