Big Sean Releases Video For "Ashley" and Gets Banned from TV [WATCH]

Earlier today, Detroit rapper, Big Sean released a visual for “Ashley” featuring Miguel which is the latest single from his Hall of Fame LP.

In the video Sean is kidnapped, beaten by a female serial killer and even forced to dig his own grave! How crazy is that! This is definitely something different from this Detroit Player.

 Before his fiancee Naya Rivera, Sean was dating a young lady by the name of “Ashley” in whom the song is about. Keep calm; I don’t think the video displays the type of relationship they had…I hope. But I do believe he’s getting in touch with his “creative” side and wanted to show his fans something different. Maybe he's trying to join Naya and get into the field of acting. 

Though the video was released today, it was immediately banned from being aired on television networks. That means you can't vote this video onto 106 & Park or will you see it on MTV. The video contains both violence and nudity. 

VIBE Magazine even said, “Ashley” is definitely the craziest video of Big Sean's career so far.”

After the release of the hot collab with Shakira featuring Rihanna for her first single "Can't Remember to Forget You", these ladies have finally released a visual for the song. The two singers travel to an exotic island where things get a little heated. I'm talking about RiRi twerking on the wall and both of the singers all over each other. Don't believe me, just watch! Check out the video below. The song will be featured on Shakira's forthcoming album "Shakira" which will hit store shelves March 25th. 
 

Eva Marcille and Kevin McCall Welcomes Baby Marley

Last month Eva Marcille Pigford, winner of America's Next Top Model and boyfriend, singer and producer Kevin McCall revealed that they were expecting a baby girl and to name her Marley at their baby shower.

Well guess what? Baby Marley has arrived. Kevin McCall recently posted a photo on Instagram, captioning "Wow she has her mothers eyes never knew I could fall in love again @evamarcille #prouddad."

Eva was expected to give birth to her daughter any day now and she finally welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world. 

I have no doubt that these two will be anything other than great parents. Congratulations on your new bundle of joy. Welcome baby Marley!

Justin Bieber Arrested on DUI and Drag Racing in Miami

It looks as if Justin Bieber has yet to outgrow his “bad boy” ways. According to TMZ, Bieber was arrested early Thursday morning for DUI and drag racing in Miami Beach. Police pulled the 19-year-old singer after leaving the club in a rented Lamborghini. It is also reported that he was uncooperative and was also driving with an expired license.

NBA Launches "Dream BIG" Campaign Honoring Dr. King and Black History Month

The NBA honors Dr. Martin Luther King and Black History Month by launching the “Dream BIG” campaign. On January 20, MLK Day, the NBA will air a “Dream BIG” promo featuring Chris Bosh of the Miami HEAT on nationally televised games on ESPN, TNT and NBA TV along with other games featured on NBA League PASS.

20 teams will be honoring Dr. King, as they wear “Dream BIG” shooting shirts during warm-ups.

Another member of the HEAT, Ray Allen assisted the campaign by designing honorary Black History Month shooting shirts that will honor the lives and legacy’s of Dr. King, Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman and Bill Russell. Stay tuned during Black History Month to see player suit-up in these special warm-ups.

JoJo Signs New Deal with Atlantic Records

After seven years of a long legal battle with her label, R&B singer JoJo has finally been released from her contract with Blackground Records. JoJo last album The High Road was released in 2006, since then she has made efforts to please her fans by releasing mixtapes and song covers of hit songs. The Los Angeles Times reports that she had signed a new deal with Atlantic Records in December. JoJo is currently working on her new album which is set to be released later this year under her new deal. In addition to her new musical venture, JoJo stars in the high school comedy G.B.F., which hits theaters Friday. Be sure to check out the movie this weekend and look forward to upcoming music by JoJo.

Ciara Announces Pregnancy On "The View"

Ciara revealed her baby bump to the world this morning on the “The View” putting all the rumors to rest as she announced her pregnancy. 

 The 28-year-old singer is expecting her first child with her fiancé Future. The couple announced their engagement in October of 2013. This will be Future’s fourth child; the other three are from previous relationships. 

 Barbara Walters asked her, “There have been rumors about pregnancy. Do you want to confirm?” Ciara replied, “Of course, I would love to.” 

Ciara then stood up and proudly showed off her baby bump as the audience applauded.

Congratulations to Ciara and Future on their new bundle of joy. I know Ciara will make a great mother!

Jhene Aiko Announces Debut Album "Souled Out" and Release Date

2013 was a great year for Def Jam signee Jhene Aiko as she released her 6-track EP Sail Out and toured with Drake on his “Would You Like A Tour”. Her grind doesn’t stop here. Aiko recently sat down with VIBE to announce that her debut album titled Souled Out will be released in May of this year. Kanye West Punches 18-Year-Old Who Insulted Kim Kardashian

Kanye West attacked a man who was said to have mentioned a racial slur at Kim Kardashian. 

TMZ reports, Kim was walking into a medical building in Beverly Hills on Monday while surrounded by paparazzi. An 18-year-old man held the door for her to enter. 

The young man then allegedly said, “F**k these faggot-ass niggers” in reference to the paparazzi. Kim then went on to explain to man that his use of the N-word was inappropriate. 

 The man responded to Kim by screaming “F**k you b***h. Just trying to help you. Shut up nigger lover, stupid slut.” After entering the building, Kim watched what room the man walked into. Kanye West arrived shortly after the incident, and he walked into the office and punched the man, and Beverly Hills police came to the scene. 

According to TMZ, “Sources say Kanye and Kim rushed into the waiting room of the chiropractor and saw the 18-year-old sitting there. Witnesses say Kanye punched the guy and Kim screamed, ‘We have it all on tape.’”

Juicy J Announces Winner of the $50,000 Scholarship

Last summer Juicy J made himself a trending topic when he announced that he would be awarding a $50,000 scholarship to a recipient who based on their twerking ability. Some people took offense by the scholarship but Juicy J later went on to explain the official rules of the contest. 

“You don’t have to able to twerk to win this $50,000 dollar scholarship.” Just submit a video telling me “Why do you deserve this $50,000 dollar scholarship?” It’s not all about dancing and twerking. It ‘s about your personality. So I want people to know that if you want to twerk that’s on you but you don’t have to do that to win the scholarship. You can just send me a video showing me how smart you are or what your goals in life are for me to give you this money. It’s for people who use their brains, too.” Juicy told XXL. 

The winner of this scholarship has been announced; Zaire Holmes, a mother studying Biology who plans to use the scholarship to help cover lab expenses. Note this; she didn’t twerk in the video she submitted. 

 This just goes to show that not all rappers care about a woman who looks attractive and can twerk her behind off.

Drake Headlines REVOLT TV Concert Special During Super Bowl Weekend

Just in today, Time Warner Cable announced that they will be hosting a series of events during Super Bowl weekend. One of the biggest events is the REVOLT TV concert in which Drake will be headlining. Drake will also be accompanied by Diddy, DJ Funk Flex and DJ Ross One. The event will take place on February 1 in New York and you must be 21 or older to attend. If you are interested in attending be sure to twatch Time Warner Cable’s twitter page to stay updated or the chance to win free tickets. 

DJ Drama Named Atlantic Records A&R

One of hip-hop’s hottest DJ’s, DJ Drama has been announced as A&R at Atlantic Records. The Philadelphia native who is currently based in Atlanta will oversee recording projects, sign new talent and contribute to the artist development process for current artists signed to Atlantic. Drama also has his new Means Street Studio in Atlanta.

DJ Drama gained national attention as the official DJ for rapper T.I. and from there he took over the game with his Gangsta Grillz series. In addition to T.I. he has worked with artists such as Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Kendrick Lamar and more.

Chairman/CEO Craig Kallman of Atlantic stated while announcing the appointment, said, “One of the most accomplished DJs and mixtape masters, DJ Drama brings brilliant instincts and consummate skills to our A& team. A hugely influential force in the hip-hop community, I know he’ll be a tremendous asset in signing and developing artists and making amazing records.”

Drama is currently working on his fifth studio album Quality Street Music 2 which is set to release later this year.

2013 was an amazing year for you so I know 2014 will only be better, congratulations on your newest accomplishment. 

Young Jeezy Arrested for Battery and False Imprisonment Against His Son

Young Jeezy was arrested in Atlanta, GA for battery, false imprisonment and making terroristic threats against his teenage son.

According to TMZ, Jeezy got into a fight with his son in a bathroom and threw his son into the glass shower door causing his son to hit his head. The rapper then allegedly punched him in the face, dragged him into the bedroom, threw him on the bed and punched him again.

The incident report states that Jeezy’s son tried to escape but his bodyguards blocked the stairwells preventing his son to leave. It also states that Jeezy allegedly chocked his son and said, “I will kill you.” According to police documents Jeezy’s son says his dad said, “I will put a bullet in your head right now,” adding, “If I could get away with it, I would kill you.”

It all sounds crazy right? The incident allegedly occurred in September of 2012.

Jeezy turned himself in Friday (Jan 3) after a warrant for each charge was issued. He was quickly released on a $45,000 bond.

Roc Nation labelmates Shakira and Rihanna are starting off the New Year right with a new collaboration. Both artists have announced via Twitter the premiere of their new single titled “Can’t Remember To Forget You” which is set to be released on January 13.
