Mike Adams, offensive tackle of the Pittsburgh Steelers, was
hospitalized after being stabbed in an apparent robbery attempt early Saturday
morning in Pittsburgh's South Side, according to the Steelers website.
Adams says, he caught three men attempting to steal his
vehicle, which was parked in front of his house. During the confrontation Adams
was stabbed by one of the robbers who eventually ran off.
The NFL player tweeted at 11:28
A.M. "I had an angel lookin out for me! I'll be ok just gotta fight to get
back harder then ever."
Adams is expected to recover from
this incident and according to his agent; he will be sidelined from football
for 6 to 8 weeks.
