Jeezy Announces New Album and Releases a New Single "In My Head"

Jeezy who recently dropped "Young" from his name, announces a new album and drops a new single "In My Head." The rapper briefly discusses his new maturity and changes he has made in his life and that he's ready to drop another project soon. 

"When I came in the game. I pretty much came with my hands behind my back," said Jeezy. "There was a lot of shit that I would've liked to talk about, or could have talked about, but it would have got me into a lot of trouble."

Check out the trailer and new single "In My Head" below which will serve as the first official song from his new album. The title has yet to be released. The single will be available on iTunes October 8th.

Album Cover & Tracklist Revealed for Upcoming TLC Album "20"

R&B group TLC will celebrate their 20-plus years of music by releasing a greatest hits album 20. The ladies have revealed the album cover artwork and tracklist. The album will consist of 14-tracks including hit singles “No Scrubs”, “Waterfalls” and Unpretty.” Also a new track “Meant to Be” written by Ne-Yo will be featured on the album, as well on the upcoming biopic movie CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. The movie is scheduled to premiere on VH1 October 21. Peep the tracklist for 20 below and album art above.

Roc Nation Sports Private Party for Kevin Durant

On Sunday (September 22) Roc Nation sports held a private birthday event for their first NBA signee,Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder. The party was held at Avenue in New York City.

Durant was joined by several celebrities such as Jay-Z, Fabolous, Drake and Ne-Yo, his teammate Russell Westbrook along with good friend Adrienne Bailon and Pharrell as the bartender. He was also joined by a few of Roc Nation sports members Skylar Diggins, Geno Smith and Roc Nation artist Bridget Kelly who sang "Happy Birthday" to the NBA All-Star.

If you know Jay-Z, everything he does is great! Every private table at the party was provided with D'Usse to celebrate the life of Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant will be celebrating his 25th birthday on September 29th.

Gucci Mane Apologizes On Twitter; Confesses Addiction to Lean

Not too long ago Gucci Mane went on a Twitter rant dissing rappers then, declaring that his account was hacked. Guwop returned to Twitter today to apologize for his actions.

He apologized to rappers such as Birdman, Rick Ross, Drake and more as he then stated that the cause of his Twitter rant was a result of his addiction to lean.

Gucci Mane states: “I want to be known as the first rapper to admit that I’m addicted to lean & that sh*t ain’t no joke.”

Also included in a series of his apology tweets, Gucci mentioned that he is currently incarcerated and will be admitted to rehab soon. 

The Game and Drake Will Pay Funeral Costs for Ohio House Fire Victims

Compton rapper The Game is known for his generous deeds to those who are in need and it’s obvious that he has a big heart. According to sources, he teamed up with Canadian rapper Drake to aid a young woman who lost her family as a result of a tragic house fire in Ohio.

Anna Angel, a loving wife and mother of five was at work when she found out that her home was going up in flames. She was devastated when she found out her husband and all five of her children were unable to make it out alive.

The Game took the story to his Instagram and shared his feelings about this heartbreaking incident. “I can deal with a lot of things but people losing their children is something that kills me every time.”

Drake decided to join him and he also expressed his feelings “What [The Game] is doing will never be forgotten. Honored to be able to help people along side my brother.”

The Game recently help a family burry their 6-year-old daughter Tiana Ricks earlier this month who was shot standing outside of her family home in Moreno Valley, California. Two men approached the driveway and opened fire. Tiana and her father Tyrell Ricks, 26, both were hit. While Tiana lay dying, her last words were “Are you okay, Daddy?”

The Game tweeted how hurt he was by the story and donated $10,000 dollars for the burial of little Tiana Ricks.

The Game has definitely been a blessing in disguise for most family. Not all rappers are about the fame and material things, some of them give back to the community and those who are in need.

Roc Nation signee, J. Cole released a visual for his chart-topping single “Crooked Smile” featuring TLC. The rapper creates a short-film, playing the main character; a drug deal whose daughter gets shot and killed during a DEA house raid.

J. Cole dedicates the video to Aiyana Stanley-Jones, a 7-year-old girl from Detroit, Michigan who was shot and killed during a Detroit police raid of a home on the city’s east side in 2010. The raid was being filmed for the A&E television program “The First 48.

Cole ends the video with a message that reads: “For Aiyana Stanley-Jones. And please reconsider your war on drugs”.

Cole, Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z.  With the major moves Kendrick’s been making, it’s possible for him to walk away with every award he’s nominated for. I don’t think fans would be surprised!

The 2013 Soul Train Awards Hosted by Anthony Anderson will be taped on Friday, November 8, and set to air on Sunday, December 1 at 9:00 p.m. EST on BET and Centric. 

LeBron James Marries High School Sweetheart Savannah Brinson

NBA MVP, LeBron James finally married long-term girlfriend Savannah Brinson in San Diego, California this past weekend (Saturday September 14, 2013).

James and Brinson have been together since their high school days and have two sons together.

Back in 2012 on January 1, James proposed to Brinson in Miami Beach, Florida.

Saturday guest were ushered in the wedding are under covered tents. Security was very tight as they were expecting 200 guests made up of family, and some of their famous friends. Helicopters were in rotation, umbrellas were used to hide the identity of guest who were arriving such as the Heat’s owner Micky Arison, Coach Eric Spoelstra and few of LeBron’s teammates including Dwyane Wade and his girlfriend Gabrielle Union and Chris Bosh.

After the wedding, the newlywed couple had a special surprise for their guest. According to TMZ, Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z performed and put on an amazing show. It is reported that Beyonce traveled from Brazil to San Diego just to make the James’s wedding day special.

Gucci Mane Arrested This Morning In Atlanta

It’s been a crazy week for Mr. Gucci Mane La Flare which included his infamous Twitter rant, World Star video clip of him almost in a fight and the release of his new mixtape, Diary of a Trap God.

Gucci Mane was arrested early this morning (September 14) in Atlanta, Georgia for cursing out police officers while in possession of marijuana and a gun.

According to TMZ, he was arrested around 12:05 a.m. due to one of his friends complaining about his behavior. During confrontation with the police Guwop began cursing at police officers and threatening them. 

Police also found a small amount of marijuana and a handgun on him. After his arrest and booking, Gucci was transferred to a hospital.

MTV Confirms Miley Cyrus Documentary to Premiere This Fall

It seems as if a lot of people are wondering what is going on with 20 year-old Miley Cyrus ever since she ended her days as Hannah Montana and “Party in the U.S.A.”. Well the answer to that is that she has grew up and decided to make the kind of music she wants as well as do whatever she wants.

Yesterday (September 10) MTV confirmed that Miley Cyrus will have her own documentary entitled Miley: The Movement. The documentary will display her process and daily life leading up to the release of her album Bangerz on October 8. The purpose of the documentary is to give her fans an insight of her life and the transition she made from young Hannah to twerking Miley.

The singer revealed the big news to her fans as well:

"#MileyTheMovement hits @MTV on Ocotber 2 at 10pm!”

“I want all my fans to come with me; to the studio, on the road, at performances,” says Miley. “There’s going to be a lot of ups and downs, and it’s going to be completely insane. You’ve gotta be a part of the movement with me.”

Video: Kendrick Lamar Disses Meek Mill During a Show in NYC

Last night during a performance at the Williamsburg Park stage in Brooklyn, New York Kendrick Lamar fired back at Meek Mill for his “Ooh Kill Em” diss track, a direct response to Kendrick’s “Control” verse.

“I’ve been doing this shit for years…I mastered this shit,” the Compton MC said. “I have no time for irrelevant n*ggas [or] new n*ggas. There’s one n*gga in particular to realize that there’s levels to this s**t. I’m MOTHER F**Kin’ KING KENDRICK.”

Meek Mill responded via Twitter “King of what?” finishing his statement by saying “Cuz I’m the only n*gga coming thru the streets with the baddest bitch in the game on my bike…with a 100 hittaz and army tanks behind me!”

As previewed during ESPN's Saturday Night Football, Eminem released the entire visual for his new single "Berzerk" off Marshall Mathers LP 2 which is scheduled to drop on November 5. The album includes appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Rick Rubin, Kid Rock and Slaughterhouse. Check out the video. 

Gucci Mane Rants on Twitter by Calling Out Several Artists

It seems as if Gucci was in one of those moods to go on a Twitter rant exposing artist for who they really are, if you let him tell it. 

Gucci went to Twitter dissing artist such as Drake, 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, T.I., Jeezy, Eminem, Waka Flocka, Nicki Minaj and more. However the beef got real when he called out Hip-Hop's Barbie.

Gucci is claiming to have had sexual relations with Nicki Minaj in which she denied. The beef then escalated further causing Nicki to respond indicating that she never had any relations with Gucci and turned down the offer to do a song with him.

He then went on to call out the mother of YMCMB Tyga’s child Blac China. Tyga took his defense and responded to Gucci letting it known that his tweets were irrelevant, by exposing a text message between Nicki and himself joking about Gucci wanting to do a song with them.

If you thought, that screenshot would keep him quiet, well you thought wrong. He then went on to call out R&B singer Keyshia Cole claiming to have had sexual relations with her another woman. Then he went on to call out Fantasia, Ciara, Kelly Rowland, Iggy Azalea and Tiny causing T.I. to respond as well.

He also called out Rocko and mention his R&B singer Monica who Rocko previous dated.

It seems as if Gucci gets’ a thrill out of this because he is known to always engage in Twitter beef, randomly calling out rappers and other artists in the industry.

NBA Suspends J.R. Smith of the Knicks For Drug Violation

Friday the NBA announced the suspension of the Knicks’ shooting guard J.R. Smith for violating the league’s anti-drug program. Smith will mix five games next season after a positive drug test.

Smith did not test positive for drugs to enhance his performance but he tested positive for marijuana.

According to the league’s official drug policy, a player is suspended five games after a third positive test for marijuana. A second offense results in a $25,000 fine and the first positive test requires for the player to enter a program. 

Frank Ocean Mocks Chris Brown With "Domestic Violence" Shirt

The Frank Ocean and Chris Brown beef continues. The tension began with a physical altercation at a studio in L.A. and has carried on from Frank on both his unconventional “Versace” freestyle and his verse on Earl Sweatshirt’s “Sunday”. Now Frank Ocean has come back for Chris, not sending shots but in the form of a T-Shirt.

A photo was released of Frank wearing a shirt displaying Brown’s face and reads “Wanted! Stop Domestic Violence”. The shirt is in reference to Chris’ 2009 assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna. 

Slaughterhouse Joins 2013 BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher

Rap group Slaughterhouse will participate in the 2013 BET Hip Hop Award Show during the cypher.

Earlier today, Joe Budden revealed a photo (above) of DJ premier, Joell Ortiz, Royce Da 5’9 and himself with the caption: “It’s that time again…#Cypher” to confirm it. 

Back in 2011 the group was featured in the cypher with Eminem and if you can remember their performance then you don’t want to miss this years’ performance. 

New Music: Papoose - "First Chain Remix" (Big Sean Diss)

The release of “First Chain (Remix)” comes just weeks after Papoose released his “Control” response to Kendrick Lamar and now he’s coming for G.O.O.D. Music’s very own Big Sean. Towards the end of August Sean stopped by the Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 in New York and during his interview addressing Kendrick’s verse on his track “Control”, Sean stated how he didn’t know who Papoose was. New Music: Meek Mill - "Ooh Kill 'Em (Kendrick Lamar Diss)"

Meek Mill wasn't playing when he entitled his diss record to Cassidy "Kendrick You're Next". Now this one is for you Kendrick! Meek raps over a classic Dr. Dre song "Forgot About Dre".

Meek goes on letting it be known that he makes music for the street in which they respect. Comparing his music to Kendrick’s he raps, "You do it for the niggas with the backpacks/I do it for the niggas on the corner tryna make a meal ticket off a crack pack." Meek even mocks the gun fire sound Kendrick makes in his verse. Meek then takes a shot at the critics who says all he does is yell over beats by saying "What the f*ck, I gotta whisper to n*ggas?"  

I’m definetly loving the “new rules” in Hip-Hop and seeing artists compete for the number one spot. I wonder if Kendrick will respond to Meek? Check out the track below.

The game kicks off at 8p.m. EST, the snippet is scheduled to roll during halftime. The full video will be released on Vevo on Monday September 9^th.

Young Jeezy Officially Changes His Name

In the music industry, a lot of artists choose to change their stage names as they progress and mature in their careers such as Diddy. One that most of us didn’t see coming is Jeezy.

The Atlanta native dropped the “Young” from his name which he announced Wednesday when he appeared on “RapFix Live”.

“Im grown now; I did enough of that,” he explained. “It sounds good because when I came in the game that’s who I was and that was my state of mind, but I’m a grown man. These zeros get to adding up, you gotta drop the ‘young’.”
