Detroit Native Big Sean shut his city down last night with
the help from some of his Detroit family and high profile friends in the
industry who showed up unannounced at the DTE Energy Music Theatre. With the release of his sophmore album Hall of Fame, Sean returned home to show love to his loyal supporters and fans to give them a crazy show.
There’s no question that big Sean doesn’t put on for his
city, during the concert he made sure he brought out his Finally Famous team
with appearances from SAYITAINTTONE and Earlly Mac. He also managed to show
love to Detroit’s rap group Doughboyz Cashout who were recently signed to Young
Jeezy’s CTE label through Atlantic Records.
Just when you thought the show couldn’t get any better,
Drake and Nicki Minaj made an appearance and helped rock the sold-out crowd!
Drake performed “All Me” and “Versace” with Sean, followed
by “Started From the Bottom” in a solo performance. Drake made it known that he
had mad love for the city of Detroit. “The only reason why I didn’t come out
before because my mic wasn’t working,” The Canadian rapper told the crowd when
he arrived around 10:37 p.m. “I want to get this (expletive) right! If Detroit
is in the this (expletive) make some noise”.
Nicki Minaj later joined Sean to perform “Dance (Ass) Remix”
and “MILF”. She also told his fans that he is one of the most genuine
performers she’s ever worked with. “Listen, I want to say that I’ve never performed,
I’ve never come to a Big Sean show. But this guy be one of the most genuine
people I’ve ever met in the business. And I thank you for coming out tonight to
support him. He’s one of those (expletives) that really is who he says he is,”
said Nicki.
