Juicy J Teams Up With World Star Hip-Hop for Twerking Scholarship
Last week Juicy J tweeted about giving $50,000 to the “best
chick that can twerk”. I don’t think many people took him serious, especially
after he deleted the tweet hours after her posted it. However he is really
serious!
The rapper teamed up with WorldStarHipHop to offer a real
scholarship. To help promote his new album and single “Scholarship”, he is encouraging
women to make a video to his song that explains why they deserve the
scholarship and twerking skills may help; who knows.
Fans will be voting to develop the top 10 and then Juicy J
will personally select the winner.
Women between the ages of the 18 and 25 who are enrolled at
a 2 or 4 year accredited college or university through the 2014-2015 school
year are eligible to enter. Click here for more details.

Danity Kane Will Reunite During the 2013 MTV Music Video Awards
You may remember Diddy's MTV show Making the Band third season which formed the careers of Aurbrey O'Day, D. Woods, Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbers and Dawn Richards as they became Danity Kane in 2005. The show featured "the band" from the moment their individual names were called.
Just shortly after midnight, the ladies have confirmed their reunion via Instagram stating that they will make an announcement during the pre-show of the 2013 MTV Music Video Awards at 8:15 PM/ET.

Just shortly after midnight, the ladies have confirmed their reunion via Instagram stating that they will make an announcement during the pre-show of the 2013 MTV Music Video Awards at 8:15 PM/ET.
“DANITY KANE is officially BACK! @danitykane #vmas2013 #Rage,”Aubrey tweeted along with the
group’s new promotion photo.
It is unsure if D. Woods will be apart of this comeback. Since the breakup, Woods has released her own mixtapes and EPs independently. Back in June she was invited for lunch with the girls but didn't show up. Hopefully there's still love and no hard feelings between them all.
Maybe we could look forward to another album from the four of these ladies? I have no doubt that all of the loyal fans and supporters of their platinum albums Danity Kane (2006) and Welcome to the Dollhouse (2008) will remind them how true they are and that they never left.

Fabolous Speaks On Kendrick Lamar's Verse On "Control"
After Kendrick Lamar called himself the “King of New York”
and his verse on Big Sean’s “Control” (HOF), a lot of rappers have spoke on how
they feel especially artists from New York. Fabolous is one of the city’s
hottest stars and has finally broken the silence and spoke on the verse. Last
night Fab spoke with the Source stating that we have yet to hear from him
because of the quick responses from other rappers and wise words “an OG told
me, he said if you do respond, make it work for you, make it come on your time,
and not just like you trying to feed the twitter fans with a freestyle.”
The Source: So I have to ask you, a lot of people
are expecting you to respond to Kendrick’s controversial verse on ‘Control,’
will we hear something from you in regards to this matter?
Fabolous: That’s a hot topic on the
market, and when I first heard I was gong to address it on the surface of what
it was, somebody from out of New York claiming they the “King of New York,” but
I took my time and I spoke with some OG’s, I researched it a little bit and got
some more history behind it. Also, how everybody jumped into it for an
intention play would change the situation as well, so a lot of guys stepped in
and said their peace, but you also saw a lot of guys who were mentioned on the
song, or who you would expect to have responses to the song, really didn’t take
that approach, but am gonna tell you one thing that an OG told me, he said “if
you do respond, make it work for you, make it come on your time, and not just
like you trying to feed the twitter fans with a freestyle.” So I got that in
the back of mind, so you might hear something eventually…

Meek Mill Says Kendrick Lamar "Can Run That Backpack, I'ma Run These Streets"
Just after dropping a record in remembrance of Lil Snupe yesterday, Meek Mill spoke in radio interview with Power 99 about Kendrick Lamar's verse.
Here's what the Philly rapper had to say. "He's not comin' at him in a disrespectful way, he's comin' at him in a competitive way," said Meek. He also made a sports comparison; an everyday example "It's like if me and my homie playin' basketball—I'ma tell you: I'ma dunk on you, I'ma spin off you, I'ma give you 30 points a night like Lebron [James]. I'm pretty sure [NBA players] hang around each other in the club and all that, but [still trash talk competitively]."
Meek later went on and made it clear that he's running the streets."I'ma tell y'all: y'all what y'all run; I run the streets," the Philly native stated. "I'm in a lane by myself. I'm the only [one] that's lyrically spittin' some street music and gettin' money. Kendrick [Lamar and Black Hippy], I'ma tell 'em in a rap: y'all can run that backpack, I'ma run these streets."
"We gonna have fun with it; get money. Hip Hop needed that", he added.

For those of you who have been in hiding and are out of the loop of what has recently happened in the Hip-Hop industry, Kendrick Lamar's vicious verse on Big Sean's "Control" record has a lot of artists on their toes and it seems as if Hip-Hop is heading into a different direction...for the better. New Music: Jeezy and the CTE Family Presents "Boss Yo Life Up Gand Vol.1" Mixtape
Another hot release today comes from the CTE Family. Young Jeezy and his camp shows the true definition of "No Days Off". Jizzle warned us that the ItsThaWorld EP was only a sample of what to expect from his newly signed group Doughboyz Cashout from Detroit would bring to the industry along with YG and Rich Homie Quan. Now they're all back, dropping a new project entitled Boss Yo Life Up Gang Vol.1. I am a thousand percent sure that it won't be long before everyone is bumping the new mixtape! Make sure you download the EP and support the CTE family.

Kendrick Lamar Calls Out Rappers On Big Sean's "Control" Record
Last night Kendrick Lamar had every form of social media buzzing after hearing his verse on Big Sean's record "Control". K-Dot snapped on his verse and even called out rappers letting them know that he is ready to take over the game so they need to get right. Most are calling it a diss but I see it as motivation to bring "real" hip hop back. He crowned himself as the "King of New York" and challenges rappers to do better.
Here are some of the lyrics:
I heard the barbershops be in great
debates all the time
Bout who’s the best MC? Kendrick, Jigga and Nas, Eminem, Andre 3000, the rest of y’all
New n*ggas just new n*ggas, don’t get involved
I’m usually homeboys with the same n*ggas I’m rhymin’ wit
But this is hip hop and them n*ggas should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale
Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake
Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller
I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you n*ggas
Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n*ggas
They dont wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n*ggas
What is competition? I’m tryna raise the bar high
Who tryna jump and get it? You better off tryna skydive
Out the exit window of 5 G5’s with 5 grand
With your granddad as the pilot he drunk as f*ck tryna land.

I think from this day forward, Hip-Hop will be geared in a new direction. I'm definitely looking forward to hearing the reactions from the artists he mentioned. Stay tuned for more updates.
