Snoop Dogg to Host 2013 BET Hip-Hop Awards; Kendrick Lamar Receives 14 Nominations

Kendrick Lamar is really taking “Control” in the Hip-Hop industry. The Compton rapper has 14 nominations for this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards. His 2012 album good kid, m.A.A.d. city, recently sold more than 1 million units and now he’s leading all artists in nomination for this year’s award show.

Drake came in second place with 13 nominations and J. Cole with 10. 

The show will be hosted by rap legend Snoop Dogg, which will be taped September 28 at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlantic Civic Center and airing on October 15.
